Should A Moving Business Hire A Marketing Consultant?

business hire marketing consultant advertising consulting mastermind

Many business owners prefer doing everything from the inside of the company, and this includes hiring new skills.

They would rather hire a new employee or train one who is already hired instead of working with a third party, especially around the time of an office move. It is stressful enough having to relocate and hire a moving company without having to work with a new face.

If your business is moving to affordable Tucson Arizona then at least your company and employees will probably save money on rent.

However, sometimes the market will change and expect you to change your marketing strategies too. You may be required to hire a marketing consultant like Douglas Pitassi to help you deal with different aspects of the market in an ever-changing business landscape.

What Is Marketing Consulting?

If you understand what consulting is, you know that you will enjoy new skill set from an individual who has a vast experience in the field of marketing. A proper consulting definition includes the word expertise in it because it is all about working with someone with topnotch knowledge in a specific field of work. However, you should NOT hire a marketing consultant:

• If you expect them to work like magicians; do not expect instant success. Improvement will be the result of short-term goals and smaller changes being made over time and compounding.

• If your business is failing because of other factors such as quality rather than marketing tactics

• If you have no intention of committing to marketing because marketing is not a one-time thing

Here are some of the reasons why you should hire a marketing consultant during a business move or other similar circumstance.

1. You Will See Things From A Different Perspective

As an entrepreneur, you may argue your case in marketing based on what you understand from your perspective. When you do not understand the market well or its underlying conditions, you should consider an outside perspective. A certain level of biases might blind your employees too and therefore never see things from a different angle. An outsider, however, will not be affected by inside issues and therefore will tell things as they are and also recommend solutions.

2. You Acquire The Specialized Skill Set

Any marketing consultant you choose to work with should have a deep knowledge of how to handle different situations concerning the market. They know almost every aspect and all underlying conditions of the market because it is their work to evaluate and analyze the market at any given time. This means that when you work with such a consultant, you will not waste time or money because they will go direct to the point and suggest a resolution to solve your market issues.

3. It’s A Temporary Commitment

By understanding consulting definition, you will know that hiring a marketing consultant is not the same as hiring a formal employee because you hire a consultant when in need of solving a specific problem. If you hire an employee to solve this problem, it would be hard to let them go once you get a solution and this will lead to duplication of work in your business, which is a waste of money.

4. Saves Time

Hiring a consultant is easier and faster than hiring an in-house employee. This means that working with a marketing consultant will help you to solve an underlying problem much faster before it can become a massive issue in your business.

5. Avoids In-House Politics And Emotions

Whenever you are faced with a problem in your business, it is possible for people involved to make decisions based on emotions and office politics. However, an outsider is not part of the controversial issues and therefore will make a more sober decision. A marketing consultant does not worry about job security in the company, moving complications, or employee relationships because they were contracted to provide a solution and that is what he will do without any compromise.

Moving And Marketing

Hiring a marketing consultant before, during or after moving your company can help a great deal. It can save you hiring costs and free up additional time to explore your new city, whether that is Tucson AZ or elsewhere. You'll be grateful you invested in a marketing consultant during the transition.

Consulting Conclusion

The next time someone asks you what is consulting and what are its benefits to their business, tell them there is much you can gain from the service than the cost you pay. Unless you are considering marketing consultants for the wrong reasons, it should be the way to go whenever you are facing a marketing crisis.

How To Hire A Digital Marketing Agency

how to hire top digital marketing agency hiring best firm 2022

There is no better time than a new year to take a strong look at your marketing strategy. While it is not the right decision for every small business, hiring a digital marketing agency is something you should at least consider.

Before you get too excited, keep this in mind: with so many digital marketing services to choose from, it is critical to be patient. You don’t want to jump the gun, as doing so could lead you down the wrong path. And if that happens you can expect to lose both time and money.

Here are five simple steps you can take to hire the right digital marketing agency in the new economy:

1. Know Your Goals

Your goal is to find an agency that can help you reach your goals, no matter what they may be. So, without knowledge of your short and long-term goals, it’s a challenge to choose the right agency.

Take as much time as necessary to figure out and write down your goals.

2. Cast A Wide Net

This doesn’t mean you should spend months on end reaching out to and comparing digital marketing agencies. However, you should have at least three to five options on your shortlist. This will save you from making a rash decision on a marketing firm.

An online search is a good place to start for hiring a digital marketing agency, but that will only get you so far. Narrow your options and then get on the phone to determine which agencies best align with your goals.

3. Keep An Open Mind

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to digital marketing or have been involved in some way for many years, don’t write off any idea until you give it strong consideration. Doing so could result in missing out on an opportunity to work with an agency that could take your business to the next level.

4. Ask For Referrals

The best digital marketing agencies are able to provide you with as many referrals as you need. Along with this, they have top-notch online reviews as they understand the importance of this to their reputation.

If a marketing agency is unable to provide referrals, it is probably best to move on. Sure, your business could be missing out on a good opportunity, but you are also taking a risk with your time, marketing budget, and business as a whole.

5. Don’t Break The Bank

It is easy to believe that a digital marketing agency can quickly grow your business. And while it may be true, you don’t want to get ahead of yourself in regards to your marketing agency budget. This could lead you to spend more money than you want, which puts unnecessary financial strain on your business.

Before you get in touch with a digital marketing agency, pin down your advertising and branding budget. It may be small now, and that’s okay. If you overspend on marketing agencies or consultants, it could take a toll on the financial health of your business, thus forcing you to discontinue all marketing activity.

Major Marketing Questions To Answer

Now that you have a basic overview of how to hire a digital marketing agency in the new economy, you probably feel more confident than ever in your ability to make a sound decision. Even so, you should still clear the air of any questions before you make a final decision on hiring a digital marketing firm.

Here are some questions that are likely to require your attention:

• What types of digital marketing services are you most interested in? Content marketing? Social media marketing? Video marketing? SEO?

• Who will act as the primary point of contact with the digital marketing agency that you hire?

• Do you have the budget to give the agency the time they need to produce results?

• Do you have realistic goals?

• Are you comfortable with the idea of a digital marketing agency working side by side with your current strategy?

These are the types of questions that can help you better understand your personal situation, as well as what you should look for in a top digital marketing agency.

Final Thoughts On Hiring Agencies

Once you realize that hiring a digital marketing agency is in your best interest, it is time to take action. It is time to dive into the process to learn more about your options. This will eventually lead you toward the ad agency that’s perfect for your budget and goals.

How To Maintain Company Culture During Business Growth

maintain company culture during business growth marketing masterminds

Startup company culture is a unique mindset that is coveted and emulated by businesses around the world. It is the lifeblood of a company defined by core values such as transparency, openness and high risk-taking turned into innovation. What sets smaller startups apart from big corporations is not just their size, but the focus on an organic team structure and creative problem-solving rather than a rigid hierarchy. This is the case for any business whether they are in marketing, tech or even retail.

In the beginning, startups come with no set identity, no legacy or predetermined understanding of what the company should be. Airtame started as a 5-man mission in 2014. Since then, we have grown both in manpower and capacity. We are now over 75 people across several offices in different countries, we employ people from all nationalities and backgrounds, and in all of that, we try to maintain the mindset we started out with even in 2026 or into 2027.

We are acutely aware that some of the adaptability gets lost if the company culture isn’t built to withstand the transition from small startup to scale-up and beyond. In essence, we should never forget where we came from to stay on the right path. That is why we keep these core values in mind as we go forward.

Care Deeply For The People You Bring Onboard

The cultural fit is and will always be the defining factor when bringing new people onboard. We would rather cultivate a particular set of skills than try to establish the right, cultural fit after employment. But recruitment is one thing, maintaining and developing talents is another. We have developed a rigorous onboarding process that ensures all employees are aligned around a unified set of goals and company values.

New employees are encouraged to draft out their job descriptions and tasks involved for the job, and that creates a certain sense of autonomy from the very beginning. Part of our on-boarding process includes mandatory customer success training as well as a thorough technical walk-through of the product. It ensures a general understanding of where we come from, the challenges that lie ahead and what we should focus on to reach our goals. But besides a practical upside, it helps employees understand other areas of expertise and knowledge they may then apply or rely on. Should their knowledge not suffice, team members know that there are other employees ready to aid them.

Over-Invest In Relationships

What does “over-invest in relationships” mean? In short, it means that Airtame cares. You often hear that startups see themselves as “one big family”. We aren’t that. We consider ourselves a sports team. The best sports teams in the world have warmth between them, but focus on performance and winning together. Families fight. We don’t have time for that.

Having well-established relationships with the team allows for better relationship-building with customers. Every employee is encouraged to take time out and chat with customers that might be having troubleshooting issues, or potential customers that want to figure out if Airtame is right for them. We wouldn’t be able to do this so effectively if it weren’t for the open and supportive approach we build our internal team on.

Focus On Outcome And Not Time Spent

Top talent won’t stay for long if working conditions aren’t to their liking. We offer fluid work hours and remote working opportunities, and we set aside time for hobby projects. Overall, we spent a lot of time and engagement on socializing. We host hackathons once per quarter and encourage time spent on other things not company-related. We also arrange a workathon every year in a different (preferably sunny) location for a change of scenery and the chance to bring everyone together.

We currently have people permanently located and moving to offices in 8 countries all over the world. The different time zones and perspectives help drive our global focus and keep us on our toes with development work.

To optimize our working environment, we are in the process of reconsidering our whole employee package and ask upon the wider team for input on what we can do to better their experience working at Airtame, and continued employee loyalty.

Be Ambitious Without Sacrificing The Culture

We want to maximize growth and expand our brand, but only as long as our culture can withstand it. The obvious objective for us is to continue to sell more Airtame solutions, but for us, success is not only measured by the number of products sold. We set aggressive growth goals, but only if we can use it to drive employees.

Last year, we doubled our revenue, and our strategy for 2026 and 2027 is to do the same. It will be tough to accomplish, but that sets the bar high for our ambitions and keeps the team motivated. We never lose sight of the cultural fit to keep churn rate low and ensure that the strong company culture is still able to absorb new team members.

There is no correct answer to how fast-scaling startups stay nimble and agile, while staying true to their roots. We find that staying open to change, and helping shape it, keeps us prepared for the many challenges ahead.

3 Ways To Find The Right Business Niche

find right business niche company focus brand differentiation marketing masterminds

Finding the right business niche is the first step to effectively defining your bold new brand. If you don’t understand how to position your business in the marketplace or know what you’re selling and why you are selling it, then you won’t be able to effectively market your business. It’s important to find your business niche so you can:

• Differentiate yourself from your competitors;
• Optimize your website for the right keywords;
• Have a clear message on all marketing materials;
• Develop new ideas or products that appeal to your target market.

Here are 3 ways to make finding your business niche easier:

1. Narrow Your Focus

You’ve heard the saying “Go big or go home?” Not in this case. To stand out from the competition and attract more visitors to your website, you need to be very specific about what you offer. For example, eVision Media offers a variety of marketing services. However, we wouldn’t get very far if we only used the keyword “marketing services” on our website or put that term on our business cards.

Instead, we promote a number of different services on our website, marketing materials and in the real world such as Marketing Consulting, Website Development and SEO. Get focused and you’ll find your business niche or niches.

2. Define The Target Market

You’ll hear this again and again in marketing advice: finding the right audience to target is crucial. Many business owners make the mistake of trying to be everything to everybody, or launch a website filled with content that doesn’t speak clearly to the people they want to reach. Think about who wants what you’re selling. Is it entrepreneurs? HR professionals? Stay at home dads? Tech-savvy millennials? Social media consuming techies? Once you’re come up with your target audience, you can narrow down and define your business niche even more. Plus, you’ll be able to craft search engine-optimized content that will engage and inform exactly who you want to be buying your products or services.

3. Know Your Business Competition

It’s essential to know what kind of competition you’re up against when you’re defining your business niche. Start with Google. Search the keywords people might use to find your business. If you see pages and pages of results, countless social media pages, and a lot of PPC ads (those are the paid ads that appear to the right and sometimes above the organic results), competition is high for that keyword or keywords. You’ll probably want to narrow down your niche even further, or find another niche to target.

For example, if your niche is corporate fitness training but there’s a lot of competition, brainstorm some other keywords to optimize your site for – maybe in-office corporate training, executive fitness training and corporate weight training. The trick is to find the balance between low-competition keywords that have a decent search volume. If you’re the only one using a specific keyword but nobody is searching for it, you’re not going to get the results you want.

Conclusion

Once you have defined your business niche, you’ll be able to market your products or services more effectively. You’ll know your focus, target market and competition, which will make differentiating your brand and defining your unique selling proposition (USP) much simpler.

A good brand strategy takes time, and ideally some professional help to ensure you’ve got everything you need for a clear, concise and compelling brand message. Be consistent and stand out from your business competitors!
